Bid adieu to the old, and ring in the new

What I love even more is a theme. Getting dressed without any idea of where to start gives me enough anxiety to grip my fidget cube tighter than a sleepy baby clutches its favourite blanket.

We’ve taken inspiration from some of our favourite celebrities to suggest what you should wear for a variety of different NYE celebrations [from sit-down dinners, to raucous extravaganzas (in or out of town,) to watch parties in your pyjamas].

1) For a subtle stay-in soiree: Hosting or attending an elegant shindig at home that goes from quiet to just the right amount of crazy as the clock turns 12? Want to look put together and party ready? For inspiration, turn to style queen and serial hoster, Rhea Kapoor. For western wear, she favours classics like structured black dresses, or over-sized blazers with tailored pants. If you have the pleasure of spending the 31st savouring the scent of cedar pines, and snow, you’re clearly warming up in your winter gear. Whether at a house party in the hills, or a snowy soiree at a hotel bar, drop the dress and opt for a warm velvet pantsuit, or a cosy sweatshirt with classic blue jeans. Jazz them up with hoops.
